Smashin’

Thank you to our enthusiastic audience and participants for making Ida’s Mash Up! on 6 November one of our most enjoyable Tea Dances ever. A brand new roster of performers curated by Ida herself (performance artist Chris Green) included Hula Boy Craig Reynolds, stand-up Barbara Nice, musical saw player David Coulter and ballroom dancers extraordinaire, the Sugar Dandies. They were joined by an ever-growing team of emerging artists from our work with local Elders, whose poetry, patter and song filled a grey day with tropical sunshine and bittersweet humour.
