"Yeah!
They stop where the lights are. They stop where the lights are. Loads
of people were going across where the lights were. Loads of people
were getting across the road where the cars stopped. Where the cars
stopped, they did. Where the cars stopped. They were going across
the road." "I really liked that. When you were singing, you looked
out. You looked out and you brought the whole street into the room"
Ros Williams in conversation with Julia Honess |

The
Orkestra brings together an exciting group of people with and without
disabilities, of different ages and cultures. The Orkestra weaves
together the musical vocabularies and inspirations of the musicians.
New work is created from a series of structured encounters between
both established and unrecognised artists working at the forefront
of new music.
An improvised score built from a palette of new themes is created
outside orthodox musical structures. For example, a classical violinist
improvises intricate and complicated structures with a singer who
works with repeated phrases chanting from her everyday experience.
