Meet Me… at The Albany
Meet Me… at the Albany is an arts and social club for over 65s. It takes place on Tuesdays from 10:30am to 2:30pm at the Albany in Deptford.
Members take part in a wide range of art activities facilitated by local artists, such as ceramic painting, cyanotype printing, collaging, and so much more.
A regular fixture of Meet Me… is the choir, held from 11am-12pm. Facilitated by artist Rachel Bennett, members rehearse throughout the year and often perform pieces at the Albany and beyond.

Meet Me… on the Phone
Meet Me… on the Phone is a programme of group phone calls led by artists and Meet Me staff. Each group has a different creative focus.
We currently run two calls: ‘Poetry and Storytelling’ and ‘Musical Journeys’.
All you will need to take part is a phone (mobile or landline) and we will ring you (so there is no cost to you, as long as it’s free for you to receive calls within your standard tariff).
Poetry and Storytelling
Join spoken word poets and storytellers in an over-the-phone experiment with words and to discuss and discover poems and share stories. For all poetry lovers or anyone who wants to give it a go. No previous experience necessary.
When: Monday afternoons at 3pm
Musical Journeys
Participants are invited to listen to music selected by artist Katie Duncan and share their responses, favourite songs, and reflections.

As part of the Telegraph Hill Festival in March 2026, the Meet Me on the Phone Poetry Collective recorded selected works for an installation in a disused public phone box, in partnership with the Jerningham Road Telephone Box Project. You can listen to some of the poems below:

Meet Me… on the Phone is free to join and we currently have spaces available in both ‘Poetry and Storytelling’ and ‘Musical Journeys’.
To join a group you need to be aged over 65, living in Lewisham and have access to a telephone (mobile or landline).

Meet Me… on the Move
Explore London with Entelechy Arts!
Meet Me… on the Move creates opportunities for isolated older people to explore and enjoy London’s rich and diverse cultural events, places, and activities. We take one trip every month that members have suggested they would enjoy. These outings are supported by our volunteers.
Past trips have included The Horniman Museum, a boat trip on the Thames, and a trip to the V&A.

Meet Me… at the Movies
Meet Me… at the Movies is a film club for over 65s, where members can meet up and share their love of film with people of all ages from their community.
Meet Me… at the Movies meets twice a month, welcoming older people and volunteers of all ages to select and screen films from all genres. The screenings primarily take place at the Albany, Deptford, SE8 4AG.
